Manitou Weather Station Fishing Lodge & Cabins

An Experience of a Lifetime

The Manitou Weather Station Fishing Lodge is located in Northwestern Ontario, Canada, about 50 miles north of International Falls, MN on the Lower Manitou Lake.  The lake is famous for its fishing and its rich history of gold mining in the late 1800s.

The fishing here is fantastic, some of the best in NW Ontario.  Our experienced and knowledgeable fishing guides will help you find trophy muskie, pike, bass, lake trout, and even walleye.  We have wonderful modern fishing boats to rent if you are planning a DIY fishing trip, and even an on-site tackle shop.  We’ve got your Canadian fishing adventure covered!

Our camp is set within rustic shorelines in a protected cove, far from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but modern enough to make you feel right at home.  We have 4 cabins within walking distance from the main lodge, each with modern amenities, power, running water, bathrooms, separate bedrooms, full kitchen and comfortable furniture.

Around the main lodge, where we serve daily meals, we have a hot tub, sauna, communal deck, swimming dock, spacious dining area, fire pit, and more.  We offer an exciting and comfortable excursion perfect for families!

Special lifelong memories are created at the Manitou Weather Station, we hope to see you soon!

What a great looking leader board. I am glad to see a 50+in Musky made the list. We are all salivating over the thought of getting back up on the Manitou in June of 2022.

Some big fish great to see

Good to see October fish on the board. The giant 55+ inch Fall Musky is swimming around the island.

My name will be on this board next year!!

Any pics to share of that 51 inch muskie ? In OCT that should have some serious girth !! Miss you all , see you next year with more craft beer 🙂

Many large fish!

Cookie count is more important

The 40.5” pike is especially impressive for MWS. Randy Kirk where was that!!??

I like your spunk!!!

way back in the olden days we always measured our catch by weight and i recall back in the early 1980,s someone caught a fifty pound plus laker through the ice . We always caught our biggest ones dry ass fishing days after the ice went out . We always released the big ones and canned the the keepers. The guy that caught the big one slit open a cisco , put styrofoam in the belly cavity and sewed it back up , i never wanted a trout that bad .😜.

What was used as bait. I ask because I have never caught one before!

That was Fritz Kiewing. I worked in the mill with him.

Awesome trout!

Wow
