Manitou Outpost Cabins

Remote Island Cabins
Our outpost cabins are the perfect mix of comfort, isolation and wilderness. We have two cabins, both with full kitchens and all the items needed for cooking in-house. They have running water, flush toilets, showers, gas BBQ, dining areas, comfortable seating areas, and separate bedrooms. We also have cabins just for sleeping, making it the perfect place if you want to have a large group or family reunion.
The Outpost cabins are located about 12 miles from the Esox landing on the Manitou Stretch. They are located on their own 5 acre private island (the former site of Camp Manitou). The island has two dock locations, one located at the front of the camp and one at the back, offering plenty of space to park your boat and keep it protected from the wind. The island offers lots of room to explore and great spots to fish right from its own shores.
The island runs off solar power, with a generator for backup power. You will have constant power for your lights, and to charge your electronics at the end of the day. The island also has on demand hot water tanks, allowing for constant hot water when you need it, for dishes or showering.
In the middle of the island is a beautiful old Amethyst fireplace that will be your outdoor hub. With a covered outdoor eating and sitting area it is sure to be a great spot to gather after a day on the lake and enjoy some fishing tales around the fire.
For your protection and peace of mind, a satellite phone is provided should you want to contact the main lodge or check in with a loved one at home. The outpost is on the route from the landing to the main lodge so we are often boating by and able to check-in or bring you extra supplies, like some Manitou ice!
