Camp Layout

Our camp layout is designed with your full enjoyment of nature and privacy in mind. Each cabin is completely private, located close to the water and has its own dock for you to experience the wilderness right outside your door.

You are free to be part of the main lodge buzz or to only drop by when you need a cookie, have questions about you next fishing spot, or need some wifi. The main lodge is within easy walking distance to all the cabins on well defined and lit trails.  The hot tub, sauna, and swimming deck are closely located by the main lodge, as is the shower house, so you can run back and forth between your cabin and amenities as much as you’d like.

Or of course, you can easily hop in your boat and zip around to the main dock in front of the lodge. There is a lot to explore close by without ever leaving the general vicinity of the main camp.

The Main Lodge

The main lodge is warm and cozy and was constructed in a traditional frontier-style.  Large pine logs have been skilfully saddle-notched together so the beauty of the logs is visible both inside and outside of the lodge. The beauty and timelessness of the lodge help create an ambiance that reminds you just how deep into the Ontario wilderness you really are.

The lodge boasts a spectacular 2 story stone fireplace – and a fire is always going when you need one. The rustic, homey design lets you capture the experience of going back in time to when life was simpler. The main floor area allows us to comfortably host up to 25 American Plan guests for the delicious home cooked meals that come out of our kitchen. All the furniture is handmade in pine.

The connected kitchen area is separated by an island that always has welcoming treats – from the fresh morning coffees and teas to the warm homemade baking, which includes homemade bread and always fresh cookies!

Guests gather in the main lodge to share the days fishing tales and your hosts can share some of the history and legends of the Manitou.

Guest Cabins

Our cabins offer screened-in three-season rooms, private docks and hook ups to charge your boats and electronics. Cabins have full kitchens with all the items needed to cater to the “foodies” in the group. There are also BBQs at each cabin and a larger grill at the main lodge.

The Bay Cabin

Privately located from all other cabins in its own small bay, the Bay Cabin is the closest to the main lodge. Private dock and deck right out the front entrance.

The Brigadoon Cabin

A nice 2-3 minute walk from the main lodge, it is worth the extra few steps to get to the Brigadoon’s beautiful private views, private dock and deck.

The Tipperary Cabin

Approx. 2 minute walk from main lodge across a short boardwalk, the Tipperary cabin is secluded and has its own private dock just a few steps from the cabin.

The Point Cabin

A short scenic path takes you up to this beautiful point location with views from all sides. A one minute walk from the main lodge, the Point cabin has its own deck and dock, and the most exposure to the main lake.

Amenities

Hot Tub & Sauna

After a day of fishing there’s nothing better than taking in a little R&R in the hot tub and sauna!

Learn more about our sauna and hot tub.

Power

The entire camp can be powered by the sun.  The cabins and main lodge have modern lighting,  and all the power needed to charge your electronics, and it is all run from our solar-powered network.  A back-up generator, located away from the main lodge and cabins, will kick on automatically when needed so you will never run out of power!

Plumbing

Each cabin is as comfortable as your home, with flush composting toilets and sinks and showers with running water and on-demand water heaters, that will constantly provide you with hot water.

Ice

We fill our ice house with blocks of lake ice each winter, and it keeps all summer long. You will have the coldest coolers and best cocktails you can imagine.

Wifi

The main lodge has wifi with satellite internet, so you can stay connected (if you choose to!)

Pets

Unfortunately at this time we do not allow pets. We do have two golden retrievers at camp, who will be more than happy to receive your attention as you miss you pets back home.
