Nice black bear sneaking in for an evening sit. Didn’t take it. Waiting for the bigger one to show up. Fun to watch them. They are so quite walking through the bush. Truly amazing.

A Taste of the Manitou Weather Station Fishing Resort
Cutting Ice blocks out at the Manitou Weather Station. This is an age old traditions that we have enjoyed doing for years! First the snow is shovelled off a big section of ice, then a grid is cut with the big saw. Next we cut through to the water with the chain saw and then chip the ice blocks apart till they are floating. The blocks are then hauled to the Ice house, where it is stored and used in the summer for fishermen's coolers and drinks!
